**WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING**:
Your role as **Business Development Specialist - Industry 4.0** is to for the company; within the Atlantic Canadian industrial manufacturing community; while respecting appropriate process and in cooperation with the team.

This role is specifically focused on driving new and existing business within the Industry 4.0 Program at Enginuity. Industry 4.0 is the process of modernizing manufacturing, assessing a new or existing manufacturing process and providing data and insight to improve productivity and commercial outcomes for clients.

**Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following**:
The role is comprised of three main pillars. First, is to act as the initial point of contact for incoming leads and potential clients. Second is as a key member of the business development team, working to sustainably grow Enginuity’s business through events, meetings and technical quoting. Third is to collaborate with the marketing team by providing data driven and personal insight for the purposes of campaigns and outreach.

The routine responsibilities of the **Business Development Specialist** will include the following:
Target Market and Lead Identification:

- Researching trends and news developments in the sectors and industries which Enginuity already has a presence, and derive potential opportunities for future market expansion.
- Assessing the company’s current market position and determining Enginuity’s position for growth versus the competition.
- Determining and helping to craft the company’s value proposition to potential clients.

Lead Outreach and Engagement:

- Reaching out to identified leads, and those who have proactively reached out to Enginuity.
- Driving these leads through the established process and funnel, turning leads into project opportunities.
- Largely responsible for the management of the Lead Funnel for I4.0 opportunities and will work closely with the Director of Business Development to ensure data and metrics are available to the company.
- Coordinating with the marketing team to help define and execute targeted marketing campaigns to engage leads.
- Once a lead is converted to an opportunity, the **Business Development Specialist **will be responsible for qualifying the opportunity, engaging with Program Managers and arranging initial qualification meetings with appropriate Program and Technical Resources.

Opportunity Management:

- Conversion of Qualified Leads into Opportunities
- Working in collaboration with the Program Manager to quote and close opportunities.
- Closing of opportunities into Projects (this is the goal - new business).
- Arranging adequate New Project Kick-off with respective Technical teams.
- Remain engaged with key client relationships for the purpose of business regeneration and issue escalation.

Events:

- Help determine which events Enginuity will be attending.
- Collaborate on and help set pre-attendance campaigns for events Enginuity will be attending.
- Represent Enginuity at events and help with booth set-up and tear-down.
- Proactively harvest leads and data from identified events, trade associations and ecosystem partners.
- Research event presenters, exhibitors, and attendees (when possible).
- Compile brief reports on parties of interest.
- Conduct post-event follow-up on identified leads and opportunities.

CRM Systems Management:

- Daily management of Enginuity’s CRM system (currently Odoo).
- Using the data within the CRM to identify trends and glean business insights.
- Draft and maintain the database of Enginuity products within the CRM or if housed externally, do the same and manage the accurate translation from one system to the other.

**THE SKILLS & EXPERIENCE YOU BRING TO THE TEAM**:

- Post-secondary degree or diploma preferred, relevant experience outweighs qualifications.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in business development or operations in a technical environment.
- Demonstrated capability in understanding client need and translating that into business opportunity.
- Demonstrated understanding of manufacturing processes and technology.
- Strong Proficiency
