**Brampton Multicultural Community Centre (BMC)**is a charity established in 1987 that provides settlement and social services to newcomers, immigrants and the larger community in the Peel Region. Our mandate and core business is to enable less advantaged individuals, families and groups in the community to reach their full potential, enhance their life skills, and create a better future. BMC has a variety of specialized programs that cater to specific demographics and focus on providing different services such as (Settlement, Mental Health, Youth Development, Employment, and Seniors Support) making BMC a one-stop-shop for needed services. The HR Administrator is crucial in supporting the HR department and senior executives by providing administrative assistance, managing schedules, handling correspondence, coordinating meetings, and performing various organizational tasks. This role demands strong organizational skills, attention to details, and effective multitasking abilities.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Assist with the recruitment process (drafting job descriptions, pre-screening, interviewing, conducting references)
- Assist with HRIS and payroll administration, including change of status, employee movements and biweekly payroll reports
- Chair the quarterly Joint Health and Safety Committee meetings and conduct monthly workplace inspections. Administer WSIB and incident reports, write meeting minutes and ensure proper documentation.
- Track and report on various metrics (payroll, entitlements, headcount, attendance)
- Conduct onboarding of new hires, and maintain employee files.
- Support the group benefit plan and provide answers to any employee inquiries
- Prepare documents, reports, presentations, and other materials as needed.
- Coordinate meetings, conferences, and events, including scheduling, logistics, and preparation of materials.
- Conduct research and gather data as requested by the executives, providing summaries or analyses as needed
- Support the executives in the execution of projects, initiatives, or special assignments
- Exercise sound judgment in handling sensitive or confidential matters
- Attend staff meetings and training sessions as required
- Support Annual Performance Evaluations process
- Any other related duties complementary to the job
- Reports to Executive Director or his/her designate

**QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS**
- Understanding of not-for-profit and settlement services sector is an asset
- Knowledge of employment laws, employee relations practices and HR disciplines
- Strong influencing and negotiating skills to present alternatives, resolve conflicts and minimize high-risk situations and the ability to quickly establish credibility
- High integrity with the ability to deal with confidential, sensitive information with a high degree of professionalism
- Well organized, team player who is able to take initiative, manage change, prioritize, multi-task and meet deadlines with mínimal supervision
- Strong communication (oral and written), and computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), Social Media (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn etc.)
- Flexible to work evenings or weekends if and when required
- Police Record Check for Vulnerable Sector is required at your own expense
- Must own vehicle and a valid driver’s license, and liability insurance that covers your vehicle to be used for job related travelling as and when needed.
