We are a joint venture between Chu Cho Forestry, a First Nation owned forestry company which manages Tsay Keh Dene’s forestry tenures and KDL Resource Management, a forest management company with extensive experience and expertise delivering a comprehensive suite of high-quality professional forestry services. Our objective is to be the dominant provider of top-quality services to Government, Industry and Indigenous clients within the Mackenzie TSA. **The Position**: As our planning forester you will have the opportunity to assist with developing and updating company policies and procedures and driving our development program. Your responsibilities will have a direct impact on the land base while working for a company that is continually looking to improve our practices while maximizing our economic and social benefit. You will work with First Nations and other stakeholders to adapt our operations to land values. **Skills and Experience**:
- Registrant of the ABCFP; preference given to a Registered Professional Forester (RPF)
- 5 years plus of previous experience in related work
- Proficient knowledge of Forest Legislation, Regulations and Guidelines
- Ability to work under pressure with tight deadlines, and attention to detail
- Able to work cooperatively in a team, but also independently with little supervision
- Must operate with professional independence and strong communication
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills using different media
- Demonstrate an ability to think critically and effectively problem solve
- Safe work mindset is required
