**The Opportunity à Maintenance Supervisor**
As part of our Maintenance team, the **Maintenance Supervisor **is responsible for the safe and efficient planning, and organizing the processes and procedures of the maintenance department. The Maintenance Supervisor works closely with the operations team to ensure a collaborative, safe, quality, efficient production and preventative maintenance. This position will provide leadership and support including a collaborative and positive working rapport between the maintenance team and production.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Build a high-performing team focusing on collaboration and a solutions-oriented approach
- Create clear expectations of the team and hold them accountable
- Recommend, plan, lead and participate in process improvement, cost reduction, continuous improvement, and the implementation of maintenance projects and initiatives
- Develop standard procedures to ensure tasks are performed safely and with quality
- Oversee the installation/maintenance of all mechanical/electrical equipment and materials, ensuring build elements comply with the manufacturer’s specifications and all relevant code requirements
- Work closely with the operations team to collaboratively identify and implement site-wide improvements and initiatives
- Ensure compliance with all standards and programs (safety, environmental, quality, maintenance and policies and procedures)
- Ensure and maintain an established service focus with employees, effectively maintaining positive relationships with key strategic external and internal stakeholders
- Prepare timely reports for distribution to internal customers; maintain accurate records and files
- Ensure parts, materials, specialized tools and equipment are in place to ensure efficient execution of planned work
- Develop, populate and maintain a comprehensive database designed to monitor and improve maintenance department efficiency, including identifying areas for cost savings and preventative maintenance schedules
**Qualifications and Education**:
- Minimum five years of experience in reliable maintenance
- Strong mechanical aptitude and display understanding of work management processes
- Comprehensive understanding of maintenance best practices and protocols
- Understanding of predictive and reliable maintenance
- Red Seal Trade Certification as a Millwright or Electrician is an asset
- Demonstrated skills or knowledge of budgeting and financial analysis skills
- Demonstrated ability to hold people accountable
- Proven ability to be detail-oriented and organized
- Demonstrates a high level of professionalism with stakeholders
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build a rapport and work with integrity
- Prioritizes multiple projects and tasks, and demonstrates strong problem-solving, critical thinking and decision-making skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Knowledge of MP2 and NAV is an asset
- Proven commitment to safety management and leadership
