Opportunity

**Responsibilities**:

- Coordinate and support the Corporate Records Management (RM) program including Enterprise Content Management (ECM) software in conjunction with the Communications Advisor
- In consultation with the Manager of Legislative Services, Deputy Clerk and other senior management staff, develop and update records management policies and procedures based on best practices, current research and input from staff.
- Provide guidance and training on best practice and undertake business requirements gathering to assist department with records management needs and program adherence.
- Provide functional support and technical assistance to all departments with respect to records management, development and implementation of policy standards and training/education programs.
- Maintain compliance with relevant policies, standards, the records retention by-law, legislation, regulations, related to records management including but not limited to Municipal Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act.
- Coordinate responses to MFIPPA requests, and provide guidance to the Senior Managers on sensitive or challenging requests.
- Work with the Clerk to undertake privacy impact assessments and respond to corporate privacy breaches.
- Manage and maintain the Inactive Records Program.
- Performs other related duties as required.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience
- Post-secondary education in Legal studies, Public Administration, Business Administration, Library Science, Information Management or related discipline
- Thorough knowledge and understanding of the MFIPPA; general understanding of the Municipal Act, Municipal Elections Act and other municipal legislation.
- Ability to communicate effectively and courteously with employees and members of the public, both in person, telephone or electronically.
- Superior analytical and problem solving skills, as well as strong attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, ECM systems and experience in implementing and/or providing user support for ECM software.

**Salary**: $29.23-$34.41 per hour
