Responsibilities: - Prepare sushi rolls and other Japanese dishes according to recipes and standards - Ensure the quality and freshness of ingredients used in sushi preparation - Maintain cleanliness and organization in the sushi station and kitchen area - Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure safe food handling - Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate meal preparation and service - Assist in inventory management and ordering of sushi ingredients - Provide excellent customer service by taking orders and answering questions about the menu Qualifications: - Proven experience as a Sushi Chef or similar role in a restaurant or food industry setting - In-depth knowledge of sushi preparation techniques, including rolling, cutting, and plating - Familiarity with various types of fish, seafood, and other ingredients used in sushi dishes - Strong attention to detail and ability to create visually appealing presentations - Excellent knife skills and ability to handle kitchen equipment safely - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of quality - Effective communication skills and ability to work well as part of a team Note: This job description is intended to provide a general overview of the position.
