We are looking for a part-time Receiver to join our dynamic team at Hotel X Toronto. As Receiver, you will be responsible for receiving, inspecting, sorting and distributing deliveries at the Hotel X Toronto property.

**What You'll Do**

The Receiving Clerk reports to the Kitchen Manager. We are looking for an energetic, hospitality professional with excellent interpersonal skills, ability to multitask, and possess a passion for service and people. Applicants will be a willing team player, comfortable with computer systems including Marketman and Office Suite, and willing to accept assignments on an as needed basis, in order to promote collaboration.
- Check all incoming goods against delivery invoices, food specifications and purchase records to ensure that the type, amount, price and quality of items charged and ordered are correct
- Update daily receiving in the Purchasing/Inventory System
- Ensure all local and corporate policies, rules, internal controls and procedures and safeguards as they relate to the Food & Beverage Department are complied with
- Maintain the highest level of business integrity in dealing with vendors and delivery persons
- Understand quality standards of the hotel and its departments
- Ensure that all non-food and beverage deliveries coincide with an approved purchase order
- Inspect food quality at receiving and refer to Kitchen Manager, Executive Chef or their delegate for approval prior to accepting questionable shipments
- Inspect the physical condition, check quality and count or measure the quantity and weight of all items or supplies at the time they are received and before they are placed in storage
- Accept delivery of engineering, retail, office, spa and other specialty items and contact originating department for verification and inspection of goods
- Ensure all deliveries are received at the designated receiving area
- Ensure all invoices and/or packing slips are stamped with the appropriate receiving stamp upon delivery
- Ensure all policies, internal controls, procedures and safeguards are complied with, as they relate to the Food & Beverage Department

**What You'll Need**
- Working knowledge of hotel operations and/or warehousing procedures
- Experience in food and beverage an asset
- Ability to operate computer equipment as well as order processing and inventory software
- Strong command of the English language
- Ability to lift/carry 20+ pounds on a regular basis
- Flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays

**Job Type**: Part-time
Part-time hours: 20-30 per week

**Salary**: $19.00-$22.00 per hour
