As a Cleaning & Home Improvements Assistant, you’ll be at the forefront of our operations, assisting with a variety of tasks that range from routine cleaning to more specialized home improvement projects. Your responsibilities will include:

- **Cleaning Duties**_**:

- Conducting thorough residential and commercial cleaning tasks such as dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and disinfecting surfaces.
- Performing deep cleaning tasks, including scrubbing walls, floors, and other surfaces to ensure an immaculate environment.
- Safely handling and using cleaning agents and chemicals in compliance with WHMIS guidelines.
- Cleaning and maintaining outdoor spaces, including pressure washing and basic landscaping tasks.
- **Home Improvement Duties**_**:

- Assisting in basic home improvement tasks including painting, drywall repairs, minor carpentry, and fixture installations.
- Safely operating power tools like drills, saws, sanders, and other equipment essential to home improvement projects.
- Physically demanding tasks such as lifting, bending, pushing, and pulling objects weighing over 50kg (110 lbs) on occasion.
- Supporting larger-scale projects like flooring installation, fence repairs, and minor renovations.
- **General Duties**_**:

- Organizing and maintaining tools, supplies, and workspaces to ensure efficiency and safety on the job.
- Driving to and from job sites as required, ensuring punctuality and a professional demeanor at all times.
- Engaging with clients, addressing concerns, and ensuring satisfaction with our services.
- Ensuring all workspaces and job sites are clean, safe, and compliant with safety regulations.

**Qualifications**:

- **Experience**: Previous experience in cleaning or home improvement is highly desirable but not mandatory. Comprehensive on-the-job training will be provided.
- **WHMIS Certification**: WHMIS certification is required. If you don’t have it, you must be willing to obtain it, with the cost covered by HD Cleaning & Home Improvements.
- **Physical Capability**: Strong physical stamina is essential, with the ability to perform tasks that involve extensive lifting, bending, pushing, and pulling heavy objects.
- **Tool Use**: Proficiency in the use of various power tools and equipment, with an understanding of safety procedures.
- **Attention to Detail**: A keen eye for detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work are crucial.
- **Communication**: Strong verbal communication skills for following instructions and interacting with clients.
- **Reliability and Flexibility**: A positive attitude, dependability, and the ability to adapt to varying job requirements.
- **Criminal Record Check**: Willingness to provide a criminal record check is mandatory.
- **Driver’s License**: A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are required for travel to job sites.

To ensure convenience and efficiency, our team will carpool to all job sites, with the meeting point being the Carpool Parking Lot at Exit 19, Hwy 104.
