Job Title: Continuing Care Assistant

VON Canada is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Continuing Care Assistant to join our team in Pictou County, Nova Scotia.

About the Role:

As a Continuing Care Assistant, you will provide personal care and support to clients in their homes, assisting with daily living activities, meal preparation, and light household duties. You will also provide respite care and help clients maintain their independence.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide personal care and support to clients in their homes
  • Assist with daily living activities, such as grooming, dressing, and bathing
  • Prepare meals and light household duties
  • Provide respite care and help clients maintain their independence
  • Monitor and maintain household safety
Requirements:
  • Continuing Care Assistant Certification (CCA)
  • PSW, HSW, etc. certification from another province or other relevant certification or work experience
  • Current CPR/First Aid required
  • A valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle
  • A current and original copy of a satisfactory Criminal Records Check and Child Abuse Registry Check
