About the Role:

VON Canada is seeking a skilled and compassionate Caregiver to join our team in Nova Scotia. As a Home Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing personalized care and support to clients in their own homes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide personal care and assistance with daily living activities, such as grooming, dressing, and bathing
  • Assist with meal preparation and light household duties
  • Support clients with mobility and transfers
  • Monitor and maintain household safety
  • Provide respite care and emotional support

Requirements:

  • Continuing Care Assistant Certification (CCA)
  • PSW, HSW, etc. certification from another province (who are enrolled in or are eligible to enroll in the Nova Scotia CCA Recognizing Prior Learning (PLAR) Program)
  • Current CPR/First Aid certification
  • A valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle
  • A current and original copy of a satisfactory Criminal Records Check and Child Abuse Registry Check
