Job Title: Continuing Care Assistant

Join VON Canada, a non-profit organization dedicated to providing clinical, personal, and social support to individuals in their own homes and communities.

About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Continuing Care Assistant to provide care and support to clients in their homes and other settings in Pictou County.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide personal care and support to clients, including assistance with daily living activities, grooming, dressing, and bathing.
  • Assist with meal planning and preparation, as well as light household duties.
  • Help clients with mobility and transfers, and monitor and maintain household safety.
  • Work collaboratively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals to develop and implement care plans.
Requirements:
  • Continuing Care Assistant Certification (CCA) or equivalent.
  • Current CPR/First Aid certification.
  • A valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle.
  • A current and original copy of a satisfactory Criminal Records Check and Child Abuse Registry Check.
