**Position Description**:
The Clinical Research Project Assistant works closely with the Senior Project Manager to assist in study operations. This position includes many of the basic tasks of the clinical research process.

**Here's What You'll Get To Do**:
**Administrative**
- Assist in administrative tasks related to Research Ethics Board (REB), regulatory (i.e. Health Canada), grant and/or manuscript preparation
- Working in cooperation with scientists, clinicians, and research staff in the laboratory to acquire research outcomes (i.e. MRI/MEG, blood samples and behavioural data)
- Conduct health chart reviews
- Assist with advance preparation for audits and site visits
- Preparing technical reports and presentations as required, these may include reports for publication or presentation
- Conduct medical literature searches; maintain literature databases
- Organize mass mailings

**Participant**
- Administer and score standardized and experimental neuropsychological tests
- Prepare study case report forms and assemble testing packages
- Communicate with participants to arrange and set-up appointments or follow-up on study requirements
- Obtain informed consent for research studies
- Approach patients in clinic for recruitment purposes including explaining study procedures
- Conduct telephone and/or virtual interviews and/or questionnaires
- Writing participant summary reports
- Coordinate participant research visits with various booking systems and personnel

**Data**
- Perform data management including: scoring data, data entry, quality control, and data cleaning
- Assisting with statistical analyses

**Here's What You'll Need**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Psychology or Neuroscience or other relevant area
- Previous psychological assessment experience is preferred
- Knowledge of experimental research, database management and statistics software is an asset
- Knowledge of good clinical practices (GCP), electronic health records (i.e., EPIC) and clinical research database tools (i.e., REDCap) is desirable
- Previous research experience is preferred
- Ability to function independently yet collaboratively within a team
- Effective communication, interpersonal, facilitation and organizational skills
- Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office, Internet and PUBMED searches)
- Ability to adapt to a changing environment and handle multiple priorities
- Excellent interpersonal skills and professional sensitivity in working with clinical populations
- Programming paradigms in any computer language is an asset

**Employment Type**: Full-time Temporary 1 Year Contract with Modified Benefits (i.e., health & dental), 1.0 FTE
