Under the direct supervision of the Corporate Human Resources Director (Montreal) and indirect supervision of the Chief Operating Officer (Toronto), the Human Resources Generalist is responsible for talent acquisition, retention, employee relations, health & safety and performance management of day-to-day activities. A hands-on role while preparing and analyzing reports of the company.

**Areas of Responsibility**:

- Actively perform recruitment, onboarding and training activities for new employees
- Draft and distribute internal communiqués regarding job postings or any other request
- Responsible for the management of the disciplinary and performance evaluation processes
- Review and update job descriptions and manage the Applicant Tracking System
- Lead OHS committee meetings, take minutes & ensure follow-up of actions to be taken
- Manage disability and WSIB claims
- Support and coach line managers in employee relations matters
- Provide support to the Payroll Manager in Montreal
- Transmit all necessary information to employees related to our group insurance;
- Follow-up and management of all other requests made by Corporate Human Resources

**Qualifications and Education Requirements**:

- University degree with specialization in Human Resources
- CHRA designation (an asset)
- 3-5 years in a similar position
- Advanced computer skills in MS Office and Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS)
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Knowledge of Ontario labour (ESA200) and health & safety (WSIB) laws
- Excellent command of English (spoken and written)
- Strong sense of initiative and management of priorities
- Ability to manage several projects at the same time, in a constantly changing environment
- Ability to work closely with senior management and adapt priorities to business realities
- Ability to establish a quality-oriented partner relationship and to work as part of a team
- Ability to adopt a customer-focused approach and tactfully manage delicate situations
