**YOUR ROLE**

As an Administrative Data Specialist, you'll be responsible for delivering excellent stakeholder focused support to both internal and external clients of DMI and GroupSource by managing all department related financial/accounting tasks pertaining but not limited to Reserve Reconciliations, Overpayments, Collections, WEBS Payments, and Reconciliations. **This position is a hybrid role based in either Surrey, BC, Barrie, ON or Calgary AB, working part of the week from our office and part of the week remote. **_Please note that this is an 18 month contract opportunity._**

**WHAT TO EXPECT**
- First 30 Days_
- Reviews all outstanding collections and accounting tasks
- Creates follow up schedule on all remaining tasks
- Reviews all P&Ps related to overpayments, collections, paying third-party invoices.
- Manage all GHFoC inquiries in a friendly and professional manner. Assist clients with high level of proficiency while providing correct information specific to their group plan. Address escalations in a calm manner to assist in resolving the issue with the leadership team and/or Manager, when necessary.
- First 60 Days_
- Make suggestions and changes to all invoice processes and procedures;
- Create task list for Administrative Data Coordinator based off of ongoing tasks to separate responsibilities;
- Learn BCMS Expense Reporting Tool for BAR Invoice Payments
- First 90 Days_
- Devise solutions to finance issues, investigate, research and ask the right questions to be able to determine next step or workable solution. Escalate questions to claims Adjudicator and Manager as necessary.
- Collaborate with the Disability team members and other departments to ensure a great working relationship.
- Focus on efficiencies to ensure the Claims, EIP and Admin teams have the resources and tools to provide outstanding service and support

**YOUR IMPACT**
- Processing of all invoices approved by Adjudicators to WEBS for payment. Adding payees in WEBS.
- Manage collection accounts with external agency - create client accounts with the collection agency to assist with the recovery of overpaid funds.
- Update internal operating systems with overpayment recovery information as received.
- Primary for Finance inquiries relating to invoicing and overpayments. Also responsible for the notification of expected e-transfers for overpayments.
- Receipt of mail and cheques from the claims team PO box - includes saving copies to client files and notifying the appropriate parties.
- Reviews data for discrepancies and/or trends. Communicates any findings with leadership.
- Gather and analyze data from internal sources to derive meaningful and useful insights and identify opportunities for enhancements to internal processes.
- Where applicable, assisting in the testing of system updates and maintenance. Identify & investigate system discrepancies and inaccuracies and submit request with the IT department to determine solutions.
- Manage and create P&P’s as required for the role.
- Assist as back up for the Legal and Disclosure Specialist as required.
- Assisting with ad hoc requests pertaining to DMI Claims.
- Any further administrative duties as deemed required

**THIS IS YOU**
- Post-Secondary Diploma or Degree in Administration or Accounting related field.
- 1-2 years in administrative, health, insurance, disability and/or accounting related field or new graduate.

**THIS IS NICE**
- Medical background an asset (ie. Occupational Therapist, Kinesiology, Nursing, Physiotherapist)
