**The Role**:Responsible for assisting with the daily accounting processes of the office including duties relating to accounts payable, employee expense submissions and firm credit cards.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES
- Collecting, sorting and processing incoming payables received from vendors, expense claims received from employees and credit card receipts
- Responsibility for record retention related to vendor invoices, payments, credit card receipts and expenses
- Review and posting of transactions related to vendor payments, credit notes, office credit cards and employee expense claims
- Processing payments to vendors on a timely basis with the ability to process one-off payments in a timely manner when necessary
- Communicating with vendors and employees effectively to gain information needed to complete processing
- Communication with business managers and finance partners to complete review of expenses on a monthly basis
- Completing the month end credit card reconciliation process
- Other duties as assigned by the Accounting Manager

QUALIFICATIONS AND ATTRIBUTES
- Possesses basic accounting knowledge and has a willingness to learn further and commit to following processes
- Self starter with an ability to work independently and possess a high attention to detail, while able to work within a team environment to complete tasks
- Strong working knowledge of MS Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and the ability to learn accounting software quickly. Clio or QBO experience will be considered an asset
- Strong verbal and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to multi-task and meet strict deadlines in a rapidly changing environment
- Proven willingness to work within a collaborative and creative team that is driven to excellence
- Ability to anticipate problems and issues and address them ahead of time
- Ability to prioritize workload, adapt quickly and juggle a variety of tasks at once
- Maintaining a pleasant attitude while dealing with difficult situations
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to adapt to evolving work processes and change management initiatives.
- Ability to communicate a variety of messages with understanding, social awareness, tact and resolve

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent
