**Position Summary**
Reporting to the Manager of Job Evaluation, the Job Evaluation Coordinator provides a full range of support and services from job analysis, writing, evaluation and administration to the development of generic levels of work descriptions. With respect to job evaluation, the incumbent will evaluate all classifications of jobs including Administrative and Support Staff roles (full-time and part-time), as well as conduct comparative analysis of positions to help support the implementation of the new College organizational structure as outlined in the Book of the Future.

The Coordinator will conduct reports and assess and compare work done by men to the work done by women to determine pay equity across the college. The Coordinator is also responsible for position control through Centennial’s ERP system; Banner. The incumbent will maintain the position inventory database which includes types of positions, position classification, and creation of new positions and positions numbers as needed.

**Responsibilities**
- Advises managers on the interpretation of compensation policies, salary administration and job evaluation processes.
- Establishes an administrative structure/system and related processes that will ensure we are evaluating and addressing jobs related to the college’s transformation in a prompt and timely fashion.
- Writes job descriptions for assigned roles, conducts job evaluation intake interviews with the hiring manager, and identified and responds to any issues including overlapping accountabilities
- Evaluates assigned jobs that may be impacted due to transformation and flags any areas of concern resulting from the proposed job changes.
- Assists in the development of tools and generic guides/examples of common multi-incumbent roles as well as typical criteria for jobs that fall under each pay band to better facilitate the Job Description creation process.
- Prepares, analyzes, and updates organizational charts
- Maintains position control inventory by creating new position classes and position numbers for all employee class contracts.
- Assists with the development of a master database file that consists of all Pay Equity related jobs, gender dominance, and evaluation rationales.
- Creates and evaluates Pay Equity jobs.

**Qualifications/Experience**
- Completion of a three-year College diploma, or degree in Business Administration or Human Resources, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Completion of CHRP or CCP designation considered an asset
- Minimum two (2) years of practical related experience in human resources, with demonstrated experience and understanding of job evaluation and organizational transformation processes. Experience in a unionized environment is an asset.
- Demonstrated project coordination experience with the ability to manage multiple on-going project coordination activities while managing daily tasks
- Advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency with demonstrated experience creating spreadsheets incorporating mathematical formulas and the use of quick functions
- Prior experience using a computerized HRIS - e.g. Banner.
- Knowledge and understanding of provisions within collective agreements (i.e. academic and support staff)
- Demonstrated experience establishing partnerships and building strong working relationships to provide excellent customer serviceResearch and analytical skills to search and interpret information in the collective agreement, arbitration cases, and to recommend solutions.
- Effective problem-solving skills to work successfully with others to resolve contentious issues in a positive, ethical and respectful manner.
