**Position:**:Community Services Outreach & Evaluation Assistant (Canada Summer Jobs)

**No of Weeks**: 35 hours per week

**Hours of Work**: 8 weeks

**Reports to**: Community Services Supervisor

**Position Summary**:
This position will enhance services provided in the local community. Constructive feedbacks, suggestions collected to improve services for older adults and seniors will be incorporated to current programs and services. Local community members will benefit from program improvements.

**Responsibilities**:
**1.**: Assist the Community Services Supervisor to compile and maintain program records and administration in the Community Services Department (Intake, Friendly Visiting, Meals ON Wheels & Transportation)

**2.**: Provides customer services and assist with the promotion of the Health Promotions Programs

**3**:. Provides assistance in collection and record keeping of program participants’ and volunteers’ feedbacks as required.

**4.**: Completes any other duties as assigned

- Presentation skills gained from facilitation of activities
- Ability to speak a second language (Cantonese, Tamil, Mandarin, or Greek) an asset

**Education**:
The field of study of Social services is related to the community services (i.e. communication with diverse seniors, how to serve the community and knowing more about the community), learn about social services documentation.

Qualifications:

- Previous administrative experience an asset
- Excellent attention to detail
- Able to handle multiple tasks and handle priorities
- Strong organizational skills and time management skills
- Ability to speak a second language (Cantonese, Tamil, Mandarin, Greek) an asset

**Requirements**:
To be eligible, applicants must:

- be between 15 and 30 years of age at the start of the employment
- be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person to whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act for the duration of the employment. Please note that International students are not eligible to apply.
- Have a Social Insurance Number at the start of employment and be entitled to work in Canada in accordance with provincial legislation and regulations.
