**ACSA is a nonprofit, multi service agency addressing needs and empowering children, youth, newcomers, homeless, and otherwise underserved communities. Our core programs include housing and outreach programs, food security programs, newcomer services, youth outreach and therapy programs, child and family programs, early years’ programs, computer access programs, and community engagement.**

**Summary of Job Functions**

ACSA is currently seeking an Equity and Community Care Coordinator to join our team, who has a strong commitment to social justice, equity and diversity. The Coordinator will be responsible for assessing needs and creating ongoing training for staff on trauma informed practices, using a BIPOC focused lens. The Coordinator is responsible for the the creation of equity serving program material for staff and resident groups.

**Duties include**:

- Plan, implement and evaluate the Equity and Community Care project
- Conducting pre-engagement work, including surveying/consulting with staff, clients and community to gather input and insights necessary to lay the foundation for the

Project.
- Plan, organize and conduct series of training with staff on trauma informed practices,

with a BIPOC lens.
- Review existing material and creating new resources for staff implementation

through resident engagement.
- Develop BIPOC, trauma informed curriculum and activities in consultation with

program staff.
- Engage and navigate various ACSA departments to assess needs of staff and communities

and adapt program material/practices based on learnings.
- Plan and engage staff in ongoing mental health support sessions.
- Conduct ongoing evaluation of program materials, practices and project outcomes. Make

necessary adaptations based on evaluation findings.
- Identify and share best practices with other organizations in the field. Collaborate with

external partners and stakeholders to disseminate project findings and promote

knowledge exchange.
- Perform the responsibilities of the position within the legislative and regulatory

standards set out in the applicable Acts and consistent with the policies of ACSA.
- Protect own health and health of others by adopting safe work practices, reporting

unsafe conditions immediately; follow all guidelines for employees and employers as

legislated under the Ontario Occupational Health and Safety Act
- Other duties as assigned.

**Qualifications**:

- Degree in Social Work or related field, or equivalent experience of work and education.
- Experience in project coordinator, preferably in the social services sector.
- Strong knowledge of trauma-informed practices, anti-oppressive practices and Anti
- Black racism.
- Knowledge of the Gender and Diverse communities and intersectional approaches to

anti-oppressive work.
- Strong understanding of Anti-Oppressive practices.
- Excellent research, facilitation and training skills, with the ability to engage diverse

Audiences.
- Demonstrated experience in conducting consultations and evaluations.
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage

multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work

collaboratively with multi-disciplinary teams.
- Knowledge of mental health and wellbeing strategies and resources an asset
- Commitment to equity, diversity and inclusion.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to work with mínimal supervision, to manage time effectively and to accept

changes in the work environment.
- The willingness and flexibility to alter work schedules and regular duties, including

working evenings and weekends.
- Strong writing and analytical skills and ability to provide reports within timelines.
- Proficient in Microsoft office, Google docs, Zoom, WebEx, with the ability to learn and

grasp new programs and software.
- A police criminal reference/vulnerable sector check clearance.
