**Document Control Specialist - Toronto Office**

**About The Role**:
"Document Control Specialist" is a key role in managing the development, implementation and maintenance of an information governance program and an enterprise content management system to ensure the protection, security, compliance and sustainability of controlled documents and records. This position will support and integrate privacy and security compliance (e.g., HIPAA, GDPR), including best practices in the development and maintenance of RYTE's controlled documentation while maintaining information integrity and quality.

A key administrator of information management, this role is responsible for document system set-up, providing day-to-day functional support, training, and managing the development, implementation and maintenance of information policies, procedures and records to ensure accuracy, quality, security and accessibility of information. This function maintains the company's document control standard and adherence to record retention and disposal requirements, and safeguards.

This role under direct supervision of the VP, Global Compliance.

**Responsibilities Include**:

- Document Standardization and Compliance
- Document Review and Update
- Training Database and Records
- Business Requirements Analysis and Process Improvement
- Records Management Platform Development
- Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement

**Requirements**:
Experience/Skills:

- Minimum 3 years working knowledge and understanding of electronic documentation/records management and best practices for controlled and secure documentation
- Ability to maintain accurately and efficiently documentation metadata.
- Ability to understand, operate, and maintain documentation process, procedures, workflows, and standards.
- Advanced Microsoft 365 proficiency with SharePoint, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Visio
- Experience in a regulated industry or Quality Systems (e.g., ISO) is a plus
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Detail oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Sound project management and organizational skills
- Highly skilled in reviewing content, diagrams, attachments to assure accuracy/consistency in documents

Education/Intelligence:

- Degree or Diploma in Information Management, Library Sciences, Project Management, Quality Management, Information Technology, Data Analysis, or Business Administration
- Strong understanding of information management principles and best practices in the organization, secure storage and analysis of information
- Ability to provide functional guidance on information access and security modelling, documents/information management, workflows, governance and reporting
