**ABOUT THE POSITION**
As an SDR, you will research, contact, and qualify Marketing Qualified Leads to generate Sales Qualified
Leads for the Business Development team. You will also support lead generation partners, attend industry events, conferences, and trade shows, and manage contacts and companies using TRAINFO’s

**RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Research Marketing Qualified Leads (MQLs) as part of the Sales Qualified Lead (SQL) qualification process and respond to inbound leads.
- Conduct cold calls with MQLs to build relationships with potential Customers, determine fit between TRAINFO and the Prospect, acquire industry intel through discussions with MQLs (e.g., important events, grants, funding, influencers), and obtain key information for DiscoveryMeetings. Facilitate a hand-off of new opportunities to business development team.
- Research and document key information about SQLs. Evaluate MQLs to ensure BDM receives high-quality Prospects for Discovery Meetings. Deliver and review this information with BDM.
- Ensure accurate and complete information is captured in customer relationship management(CRM) systems. Provide data quality checks daily & weekly.
- Support and cultivate relationships with lead generation partners.
- Participate in weekly departmental meetings and report to management on sales metrics, opportunities, and threats. Attend training sessions, as provided/supported by TRAINFO.
- Attend industry-related events (travel may be required); stay informed of new market information, competition, innovations, etc.; act as brand representative on behalf of the team.
- Evaluate and improve sales systems and processes under the guidance from the Marketing Manager.

**REQUIREMENTS**
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in B2B sales (experience in Business-to-Government sales an asset)
- B.Comm degree an asset
- Experience in traffic engineering and intelligent transportation systems an asset
