**The Position**:
Russel Metals Inc. is currently seeking an individual for the position of **Processing Coordinator** in our **Halifax, NS **location. Reporting to the Processing Supervisor, you will be primarily responsible for generating AutoCAD drawings for our customer’s parts or reviewing our customer supplied AutoCAD files. You will then nest these parts by creating CNC machine programs, ensuring that you select from our inventory in the most efficient manner to achieve the highest utilization of material for the program to be processed.
**Roles and Responsibilities**:
- Produce part drawings using AutoCAD
- Nest and program parts for CNC multi-axis Plasma and CNC Laser using our nesting software
- Provide the Regional Sales Team with time and material estimates on projects and quotes
- Focus on inventory management by selecting the most appropriate size of plate for each job
**Basic Qualifications**:
- Proficiency with AutoCAD
- CNC machine knowledge and/or experience
- Be able to understand technical drawings
- Excellent communication skills (verbal & written)
- Team player & high energy level
- Must be able to work under pressure with tight deadlines
- Customer Service Focused
**Additional Qualifications / Preferred**:
- A combination of post secondary education and experience
- Metal or Fabrication industry experience
- Knowledge of CNC Laser, Plasma, Oxy-Fuel cutting processes
- Knowledge of 3rd party plate processing software
