About Our Client Our client is a reputable public accounting firm based in Vancouver’s west side, offering accounting, tax, and business advisory services to a wide range of clients including professionals, construction companies, non‑profit organizations, and small to medium‑sized private businesses. About the Opportunity As a Senior Accountant, you’ll manage assurance and tax engagements, review working papers, and mentor junior staff. You’ll have direct exposure to clients, work closely with partners, and enjoy a collaborative environment that values both technical excellence and work‑life balance. Key Responsibilities Prepare and review working paper files and financial statements for compilation, review, and audit engagements. Prepare and review corporate, personal, and trust tax returns, as well as GST/PST/WCB and other compliance filings. Oversee client deadlines and ensure timely completion of all deliverables. Supervise and train junior staff members, reviewing their work for accuracy and quality. Communicate directly with clients and the CRA regarding tax and assurance matters. Support partners in client relationship management and process improvement initiatives. Requirements Minimum 3 years of public practice experience (CPA designation preferred). Strong understanding of ASPE and experience with compilation and review engagements. Proficiency with CaseWare, Taxprep, and other common accounting software. Excellent communication, organizational, and client service skills. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team‑oriented setting.
