This role is responsible for leading a profitable functional area of the practice leading the team, building the business and ensuring the team delivers exceptional client service. This role also supports the business development and growth initiatives of the practice and is responsible for retaining talented people through strong leadership and coaching/mentoring relationships.Responsibilities will include:Managing an assigned client base to support firm objectives, maintaining W&P service standardsReviewing tax, audit and assurance files in accordance with firm standards for clients in a variety of businesses and non‑profit enterprisesHandling multiple engagements efficiently and effectively and demonstrating competence as a project manager can plan, manage, and deliver quality services on time, within budgetEffectively supporting the partner team in development of the business planPreparation of realistic and attainable budgets / quotes for new filesOverseeing & leading teams on a variety of assurance engagementsEffectively communicate with our clients, government agencies and with our partners and staffKeeping partners, managers and other team members informed, on an ongoing basis, of progress and significant issuesGuide, mentor and train to other team members towards their technical and career developmental objectivesMarketing the firm to support overall firm growth and business developmentParticipate in other leadership activities both internally and externally (i.e. Performance review process, recruitment, advocating positive team morale, etc.)As a successful candidate you possess:A CPA, CA Professional DesignationMinimum 5 years experience in public accounting (including audit experience)Demonstrated leadership skills and initiative with the ability to think outside the boxWell developed consulting skills possesses an understanding of client businesses and uses this knowledge to help diagnose needs/opportunities and suggest solutionsAnticipate and identify complex assignment issues and co‑operate closely with the engagement partner or other firm experts in resolving themWell organized with superior attention to detail / accuracyExcellent ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlinesSolid communication skills (both verbal & written) with an emphasis on customer serviceAptitude to work in a team environment as well as independentlyTechnical experience and proficiency with common accounting software packages with an ability to trouble shoot and train clients on issues #J-18808-Ljbffr
