Excellent opportunity for a combined role in both event coordination and cleaning.

The job role involves duties as described below.

  • The company is engaged in renting out meeting rooms for clients to use for meetings, seminars and workshops. You will be responsible for booking and organising these various meetings in different meeting rooms and addressing the clients requirements or concerns.
  • The candidate would also be responsible for cleaning these venues as well as the medical clinic within the same building.
  • At least 18 months experience in event coordination/ hospitality management is required.
  • Excellent Fluency in both spoken and written English Language is required.
  • Good teamwork and PR skills is essential
  • University degree is desired but not mandatory.
  • Hours of work include a mix of both regular work hours and evening totalling about 30 to 40 hours per week.
  • Starting wage is $16.80/ hour

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and coordinate events, including conferences, and corporate meetings
  • Manage all aspects of event logistics, including venue selection, vendor coordination, and budget management
  • Collaborate with clients to understand their event objectives and ensure their needs are met
  • Coordinate with internal teams and external vendors to ensure seamless execution of events
  • Oversee event setup, including arranging seating, and audiovisual equipment
  • Manage event timelines to ensure all activities are executed on schedule
  • Provide exceptional customer service to clients and guests throughout the event
  • Cleaning the venue at the end of the conference as well as the medical clinic located within the same building
  • Proficiency in cleaning is required/ essential
  • Handle any issues or concerns that arise during the event and find appropriate solutions

Experience:

  • Previous experience in event planning or coordination is preferred
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Excellent customer service skills with a focus on exceeding client expectations
  • Familiarity with hotel or restaurant industry is a plus
  • Ability to upsell additional services or products to clients
  • Knowledge of local market trends and venues for events
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively communicate with clients, vendors, and team members
  • Ability to negotiate contracts and pricing with vendors
  • Experience in budgeting and financial management for events
