As a Project Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in shaping the future of Calgary's real estate landscape and opportunity to work on Calgary's premium high rise projects.

We are seeking an experienced Project Coordinator to join our dynamic team in the Calgary region. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing high rise concrete projects, ensuring that all aspects of the project are executed to the highest standards, within budget, and on schedule.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Planning and Coordination:

  • Assist in the development of project schedules and ensure adherence to timelines.
  • Coordinate with architects, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure all project requirements are met.
  • Assist in the preparation and review of project proposals, contracts, and specifications.

Site Management:

  • Monitor daily activities at the construction site to ensure compliance with project plans and safety regulations.
  • Coordinate site meetings and ensure that minutes are recorded and distributed.
  • Track and report on project progress, identifying any potential risks or delays.

Budget and Cost Control:

  • Assist in the preparation and management of project budgets.
  • Monitor expenditures and implement cost control measures to ensure projects remain within budget.
  • Process invoices and coordinate with the finance department to ensure timely payments.

Quality Assurance:

  • Ensure that all work is performed in accordance with contractual specifications and quality standards.
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure compliance with safety and quality regulations.
  • Coordinate with quality control inspectors to resolve any issues.

Documentation and Reporting:

  • Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including contracts, change orders, and progress reports.
  • Prepare regular status reports for senior management and stakeholders.
  • Ensure that all project records are organized and up-to-date.

Stakeholder Communication:

  • Serve as a primary point of contact for all project-related inquiries.
  • Foster strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.
  • Facilitate effective communication and collaboration among project team members.
Qualifications:

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field preferred.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 3years of experience as a Project Coordinator in high rise concrete construction.
  • Proven experience managing projects in the Calgary region is a strong asset.

Skills:

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and regulations specific to high rise concrete projects.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools (e.g., MS Project, Procore).
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

Certifications:

  • PMP or other relevant project management certifications are an asset.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to project sites as needed.
  • The role will require a mix of office and on-site work, depending on project needs.
  • Candidates must be comfortable working in various weather conditions and managing multiple site activities.
