OVERVIEW
The Canada – Regional Sales Director reports to the SVP of Sales, NA Optical Channels and oversees a team of Regional Sales Managers and Agents, helping them grow and developing their assigned territories. The Director should be highly driven, preferably with in-depth knowledge of the customer base and industry landscape. She/He must also be an excellent communicator with outstanding problem-solving skills. The successful Sales Director will exceed sales targets, deliver bottom line, and build high performing teams.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Achieve growth target, developing and independently executing business plans, identifying top prospects, unique market needs and regional strategies
- Engage in talent assessment, building sustainable, high performing sales teams
- Coach and engage Regional Managers and Sales Agents by taking corrective actions, while recruiting new talents to ensure strong talent pipeline
- Analyze KPIs and Sales Data, monitoring and tracking team performance, driving accountability and results on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis
- Identify areas of opportunity, participating in introductory, relationship building and business meetings to foster strong partnerships and growth
- Manage and enable cross-departmental communication to exceed customer expectations and meet requirements of sales teams
- Troubleshoot high-level questions, promptly identifying corrective actions
- Continuously improve Canada go-to-market strategy along company priorities
- Manage the relationship with all Canadian Buying Groups, Industry Associations as well as some critical Local & Regional Accounts
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent
- Bilingual English/French (written and spoken)
- Solid experience in sales or customer facing role
- Experience as manager, leading teams with demonstrated success
- Proven ability to lead, coach, and develop high performing team
- Strategic thinking, financial acumen and previous experience managing a P&L, developing commercial programs and bonus structures
- Excellent negotiation skills, experience building contracts and trade terms with strong analytical skills, including but not limited to Excel proficiency
- Executive presence with strong written/verbal communication skills and the ability to autonomously developing custom presentations
- Strong relationship building skills with both internal and external stakeholders
- Ability to travel within and outside Canada.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience with Sales Force and BI tools
- Experience managing and interacting with cross-cultural teams

APERÇU

- Encadrer et impliquer les directeurs régionaux et les représentants en prenant des mesures correctives, tout en allant chercher de nouveaux talents pour créer une équipe solide.
- Analyser les indicateurs de performance et les données commerciales, surveiller et suivre les performances de l'équipe, assurer la responsabilité et obtenir des résultats sur une base mensuelle, trimestrielle et annuelle.
- Identifier les domaines d'opportunité, établir et maintenir des relations et d'affaires pour favoriser des partenariats solides et une croissance.
- Gérer et permettre la communication interdépartementale pour dépasser les attentes des clients et répondre aux exigences des équipes commerciales.
- Résoudre les questions de haut niveau, en identifiant rapidement les mesures correctives.
- Améliorer continuellement la stratégie de mise sur le marché au Canada en fonction des priorités de l'entreprise.
- Gérer les relations avec toutes les Centrale d’achats au Canada, les associations professionnelles ainsi que certains comptes locaux et régionaux majeurs.
COMPÉTENCES REQUISES
- Baccalauréat ou équivalent.
- Bilinguisme Français/Anglais (écrit et parlé).
- Solide expérience dans les ventes ou les relations clients.
- Expérience en tant que gestionnaire, et avoir dirigé des équipes avec succès.
- Avoir démontré une capacité à diriger, encadrer et développer une équipe performante.
- Avoir une pensée stratégique, sens des affaires et expérience préalable dans la gestion d’un état des résultats, l'élaboration de programmes commerciaux et de structures de bonis.
- Excellentes compétences en négociation, dans la préparation de contrats et de termes commerciaux avec de solides compétences analytiques, y compris la maîtrise d'Excel.
- Aptitude à projeter confiance et crédibilité ainsi que d’avoir d’excellentes compétences en communication.
- Capacité à développer de manière autonome différentes présentations personnalisées.
