The Position:

We have an exciting opportunity for a Logistics and Compliance Coordinator.

The Logistics and Compliance Coordinator is responsible for coordinating inbound and outbound freight shipments through various modes of transportation and work with Third-party logistics (3PL) providers to ensure operational efficiency, timely processing of documentation, and tracking of shipment delivery status.

Responsibilities:

Resolve any carrier issues or problems related to billing, costs, or shipments
Submit and follow up on freight claims
Maintain strong working relationships with all carriers and vendors to assure cost and delivery targets are met
Provide weekly in-transit report to the Planning team
Process return authorization requests by customer and carrier
Process all import transactions and maintain importation files
Track and follow-up on customer/carrier outbound shipments and delivery status
Track and follow-up on inbound shipments and delivery status
Audit inbound freight and customs invoices
Obtain month-end courier/carrier/forwarder statements
Provide HS tariff classification and commercial documents to customs broker
Investigate and report on operational customer fines, challenging any fines as required
Develop and maintain strong customer relationships with 3PL providers
Provide POD’s as requested internally
Collaborate with internal departments to provide timely reporting on the movement and status of goods and shipments to ensure that customer requirements are met
Assist the Traffic team as required

Minimum Qualifications:

University/College degree or diploma in business, logistics or related field of study
Minimum 3 years related experience
Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Strong knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook, and Teams), SAP and logistics/freight management software
