The Position:

 

We have an exciting opportunity for a Logistics and Compliance Coordinator. 

The Logistics and Compliance Coordinator is responsible for coordinating inbound and outbound freight shipments through various modes of transportation and work with Third-party logistics (3PL) providers to ensure operational efficiency, timely processing of documentation, and tracking of shipment delivery status.

Responsibilities:

  • Resolve any carrier issues or problems related to billing, costs, or shipments
  • Submit and follow up on freight claims
  • Maintain strong working relationships with all carriers and vendors to assure cost and delivery targets are met
  • Provide weekly in-transit report to the Planning team
  • Process return authorization requests by customer and carrier
  • Process all import transactions and maintain importation files
  • Track and follow-up on customer/carrier outbound shipments and delivery status
  • Track and follow-up on inbound shipments and delivery status
  • Audit inbound freight and customs invoices
  • Obtain month-end courier/carrier/forwarder statements
  • Provide HS tariff classification and commercial documents to customs broker
  • Investigate and report on operational customer fines, challenging any fines as required
  • Develop and maintain strong customer relationships with 3PL providers
  • Provide POD’s as requested internally
  • Collaborate with internal departments to provide timely reporting on the movement and status of goods and shipments to ensure that customer requirements are met
  • Assist the Traffic team as required

Minimum Qualifications:

  • University/College degree or diploma in business, logistics or related field of study
  • Minimum 3 years related experience
  • Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook, and Teams), SAP and logistics/freight management software
