Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to join our team as a Freight Coordinator. As a Freight Coordinator, you will be responsible for coordinating and managing the transportation of goods and materials to ensure timely delivery and customer satisfaction. This is a vital role in our supply chain operations.

**Duties**:

- Coordinate the movement of freight shipments, ensuring efficient and cost-effective transportation
- Communicate with carriers, suppliers, and customers to schedule pickups and deliveries
- Analyze transportation data to identify opportunities for optimization and cost savings
- Enter and maintain accurate shipment information in our transportation management systems (TMS)
- Monitor shipment progress and provide updates to internal stakeholders and customers
- Resolve any issues or delays that may arise during the transportation process
- Collaborate with other departments, such as warehouse and procurement, to ensure smooth operations
- Maintain documentation related to freight shipments, including bills of lading and customs paperwork

**Experience**:

- Previous experience in freight coordination or logistics is preferred
- Strong phone etiquette and communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions
- Proficient typing skills with attention to accuracy
- Familiarity with phone systems and other communication tools
- Knowledge of 3PL (third-party logistics) operations is a plus
- Experience with SyteLine or AS400 software is an advantage
- Understanding of supply chain processes and best practices

**Salary**: $36,568.05-$59,852.19 per year
