Job Description

What you will be doing:

Reporting to the Director of Sales, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:

  1. Team player to enhance the current sales effort by providing administrative support to the department
  2. Individual, who enjoys generating leads and assisting in converting to sales, consistently makes cold calls
  3. Aggressively pursue new accounts every week, spend minimal time in the office
  4. Maintain consistent verbal and written communication with clients
  5. Make onsite and field presentations to prospective clients, attend trade shows, and participate in sales blitzes
  6. Consistently meet or exceed sales goals
  7. Attend all required briefings/ meetings as required by the DOS/ GM
  8. Collect and analyze relevant and accurate information for better results
  9. Work effectively with Rooms, Recreation, F&B, and Banquet departments
  10. Participate in the local community to develop business
  11. Clear, concise written and verbal communication skills
  12. Instill a calm, organized approach in all situations
  13. Demonstrate team-building experience
  14. Ability to quickly evaluate alternatives and decide on a plan of action
  15. Adhere to company standards and policies
  16. Analyze financial information to assist in decision-making
  17. Prepare a sales action plan and implement it per the due dates specified
  18. Ensure pro-activeness in planning, executing sales, and action plans
  19. Due to the nature of the business, employees may be required to work varying schedules and hours to reflect the business needs of the hotel
  20. The employee may be required and agrees to perform additional duties as required by the volume of business and as assigned by his/ her superiors

Qualifications

Your experience and skills include:

  1. Bachelor’s or master’s degree with a concentration in marketing, promotions, advertising sales, or business administration preferred
  2. At least one (1) year of industry sales experience
  3. Familiar with Microsoft Office – Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
  4. Possess good communication, leadership, and organizational skills
  5. Have a good command of the English and Arabic language
