Job Description
What you will be doing:
Reporting to the Director of Sales, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:
- Team player to enhance the current sales effort by providing administrative support to the department
- Individual, who enjoys generating leads and assisting in converting to sales, consistently makes cold calls
- Aggressively pursue new accounts every week, spend minimal time in the office
- Maintain consistent verbal and written communication with clients
- Make onsite and field presentations to prospective clients, attend trade shows, and participate in sales blitzes
- Consistently meet or exceed sales goals
- Attend all required briefings/ meetings as required by the DOS/ GM
- Collect and analyze relevant and accurate information for better results
- Work effectively with Rooms, Recreation, F&B, and Banquet departments
- Participate in the local community to develop business
- Clear, concise written and verbal communication skills
- Instill a calm, organized approach in all situations
- Demonstrate team-building experience
- Ability to quickly evaluate alternatives and decide on a plan of action
- Adhere to company standards and policies
- Analyze financial information to assist in decision-making
- Prepare a sales action plan and implement it per the due dates specified
- Ensure pro-activeness in planning, executing sales, and action plans
- Due to the nature of the business, employees may be required to work varying schedules and hours to reflect the business needs of the hotel
- The employee may be required and agrees to perform additional duties as required by the volume of business and as assigned by his/ her superiors
Qualifications
Your experience and skills include:
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree with a concentration in marketing, promotions, advertising sales, or business administration preferred
- At least one (1) year of industry sales experience
- Familiar with Microsoft Office – Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
- Possess good communication, leadership, and organizational skills
- Have a good command of the English and Arabic language
