BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER/PRODUCT MANAGER
CONCORD, ON
Our client is seeking a strong sales representative in the Canadian market. We are seeking someone who has a technical mindset and is able to understand the customer’s needs, identifying new business opportunities and coordinating with engineering teams to develop customized solutions.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Sales within assigned territory – 2 hour commute in person. Rest of Canada virtually, phone, email.
- Research accounts and follow up on sales leads effectively.
- Communicate client needs to the engineering teams for future product enhancements and custom products.
- Identify new business opportunities and markets within the target industries (food & beverage, packaging, agriculture, etc.).
- Conduct market analysis to stay informed of industry trends, competitor products, and emerging technologies.
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans to expand the customer base, drive product adoption, and increase revenue.
- Negotiate contracts, manage customer expectations, and ensure customer satisfaction through excellent post-sale support.
- Work closely with the sales, marketing, and engineering teams to ensure a seamless flow of information and alignment on business objectives.
- Provide input to the marketing team for the creation of promotional materials, product literature, and case studies.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in product management, business development, or sales within the industrial machinery or manufacturing sectors, with a focus on gearboxes or mechanical components.
- Strong understanding of industrial gearboxes, mechanical systems, and their applications across various industries, particularly food & beverage, packaging, and agriculture.
- Ability to think strategically and analytically to identify opportunities and solve customer challenges with tailored solutions.
- Demonstrated ability to drive business growth through product management and sales strategies. Experience in identifying customer needs and translating them into technical solutions.
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required.
