Regional Sales Director

What we need:
Mohawk is looking for a Regional Sales Director who can do more with Mohawk. This role is regionally responsible for targeted business development with key clients across all commercial segments as well as mentoring and coaching an Account Executive (AE) team of 5-7 people. This position will report directly to the Regional Vice President and will execute the strategies set forth in growing the Mohawk brand and business in Canada.
What you'll do:
- The Regional Sales Director will have business development responsibility with targeted accounts as well as mentoring and coaching the broader team to achieve sales results.
- Ensure that the commercial sales business plan is aligned with regional RVP strategies and objectives.
- Represent the commercial business unit by implementing the trade activity calendar for their team to exploit business opportunities and strengthen the brand position in the marketplace.
- Assists in establishing sales objectives for the region assigned in conjunction with the Regional Vice President and ensures sales activities in the assigned area comply with established policies, procedures and practices, using good judgment and decision-making to ensure corporate ethical and professional standards of conduct are maintained in the absence of formalized guidelines.
What you have:
- Four-year college degree in business, marketing, or a related field
- 5-7 or more years of related work experience and any combination of education and training which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the essential functions of the job, combined with demonstrated professional growth and achievement.
- Knowledge of the terms, concepts and practices of the marketing and sales environment, to include but not limited to product development and manufacturing procedures, distribution, customer service and basic accounting.
What you're good at:
- Effectively interacting and negotiating with internal and external customers and business contacts at all organizational levels via the utilization of excellent verbal & written communication.
- Learning and maintaining in-depth knowledge of a company’s diverse business and product lines, as well as gathering, assembling, correlating, and analyzing statistical and financial data.
- Maintaining professionalism and utilizing appropriate conflict resolution methods in all situations in accordance with corporate standards.
- Already having a thorough knowledge of Mohawk products, distribution options, sales strategies, and/or programs is always a plus
- Expect to up to 50% travel for trade shows, customer visitation, team meetings, etc.
