**Position Summary**:
As an Outside Sales Representative, you will be responsible for g developing and maintaining personal contact with customers, within designated sales territory to identify requirements and concerns. Responsible for developing new accounts under established guidelines.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Develop and maintain direct contact with existing and new customer base;
- Maintain good relations with customers through entertainment, site and office visits, or telephone;
- Be aware of and drive significant quote follow-up within your region;
- Identify and develop new customers, with a plan, from leads and possibilities under established guidelines;
- Assist in the preparation of sales budgets;
- Acquire knowledge of major projects and impact on specific customers;
- Acquires and maintains information to qualify customers as to desirability such as volume and types of service required;
- Gather market information (current work, upcoming work, Comco performance, AML/Non-AML, end user purchase or through fabricator, etc.) from your customer base and share with team;
- Prepare effective call reports for discussion with Regional Sales Manager;
- Maintain a good level of communication with Inside Sales staff and Operations staff.
**Requirements**:
- **Education**:Post-secondary degree/diploma in Business, Marketing, Supply Chain, or related field;
- **Sales Experience**:Proven experience in outside & inside sales
- **Product Knowledge**: Pipe, Flange, Valves, & Fitting and/or energy industry;
- **Industry Experience**: Mining, industrial, oil field, project supply, and/or fabrication industries;
- Valid Class 5 Driver’s License and Clean Driver’s Abstract, required;
- Ability to successfully pass a pre-employment medical evaluation and drug test;
- Professional demeanor, selling style, and appearance;
- Excellent communication, organizational, social, technical, and product skills;
- Able to create reports, correspondence, contracts, requests, bids, and other documentation;
- Able to build and maintain strong working relationships.
