As part of its continued growth, the company is seeking a Project Director – Civil Infrastructure to lead major projects from conception through to delivery, guiding multidisciplinary teams and ensuring best-in‑class execution. Project portfolio consisting of large P3 transportation infrastructure, roads and bridges, waste water and marine infrastructure. The Role Reporting to the Vice President of Major Projects, the Project Director will take full responsibility for managing large, technically complex infrastructure projects and partnerships. Acting as a key liaison between executive leadership, project stakeholders, and consortium partners, this individual will define project governance, oversee performance across all departments, and ensure seamless coordination from planning through construction. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in civil infrastructure, proven leadership in multi‑billion‑dollar project environments, and a commitment to safety, quality, and innovation. Key Responsibilities Strategic Leadership & Governance Define and implement project governance in alignment with contractual, regulatory, and corporate standards. Establish project structure, management systems, and operational protocols across all supporting departments. Develop and execute commercial and delivery strategies with executive committee approval. Project Management & Execution Lead all phases of project execution in collaboration with technical, financial, HSE, and construction teams. Manage client relationships and ensure all requirements, deliverables, and milestones are achieved. Oversee project risk and opportunity management, developing mitigation strategies and tracking action plans. Ensure visible leadership in health, safety, environmental management, and quality control. Participate in management reviews and facilitate major project decision‑making forums. Provide guidance and mentorship to senior managers and project teams, promoting a culture of performance, safety, and collaboration. Foster strong internal communication across departments and maintain client and stakeholder trust. Lead by example through integrity, accountability, and technical excellence. Qualifications Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent post‑secondary education in engineering or construction management. Minimum 20 years of progressive experience in large‑scale public works or infrastructure projects up to $50M plus. Demonstrated leadership in the construction phase of major civil or transportation infrastructure projects. Strong technical knowledge and credibility with clients, partners, and technical teams. Proven experience managing complex project partnerships and contractual negotiations. Excellent leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills with a collaborative, solutions‑driven mindset.
