THE ROLE: PROJECT DIRECTOR, CIVIL INFRASTRUCTURE
As Project Director, you will be responsible for the overall leadership, direction, and delivery of large-scale infrastructure projects from planning through to execution ranging from $50M to $1B plus. You'll manage multiple project teams, ensure alignment with corporate objectives, and maintain strong client and stakeholder relationships throughout every stage of construction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of complex civil infrastructure projects across the Vancouver region.
- Oversee project execution teams including Senior/Project Managers, APM. Coordinators, Senior/Superintendents, Engineers, and field staff to ensure excellence in quality, safety, and performance.
- Drive project strategy — from risk management and scheduling to financial oversight and stakeholder communication.
- Foster a collaborative team culture that emphasizes mentorship, accountability, and innovation.
- Partner with clients, consultants, and government agencies to ensure successful project outcomes.
- Champion continuous improvement, sustainability, and technological advancement in project delivery.
WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE
- 10+ years of progressive experience in heavy civil or infrastructure construction, including major projects exceeding $50M plus in value.
- Proven leadership experience as a Senior Project Manager, Construction Manager, or Project Director.
- Strong understanding of contract management (P3, Design-Build, CM, and Lump Sum delivery models).
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and team leadership skills.
- Degree or diploma in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
- Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation considered an asset.
