Senior Commercial Real Estate Law ClerkJob descriptionOur Client based in Toronto is a full-service law firm providing representation and assistance across multiple verticals. They are currently seeking an experienced senior Law Clerk to join their busy Real Estate Group.Your new roleIn this new role as a Commercial Real Estate Law Clerk, you will be responsible for a wide variety of legal and administrative duties within the real estate sphere, working with a team of Clerks supporting a Lawyer. You will manage and complete commercial purchase and mortgage files from start to finish. In this role, you will handle all forms of real estate files, including purchases, sales, mortgages, and refinancing, and draft and coordinate necessary documents required for closing.Organize and collect material for commercial real estate deals and summarize this information as needed.What you will need to succeedTo be considered for this position, you must have a minimum of 8 years of relevant real estate experience at a law firm. Knowledge of acquisitions, dispositions, financings, project development, and condo and development work are an asset. Real estate statutes and practices, legal concepts and procedures, transactional experience, and broad, but thorough knowledge of basic legal principles are essential for this role. You should have exceptional written and communication skills, be organized and meticulous with follow-up and details, and be able to take initiative, prioritize, and multi-task.
