About the Talent Acquisition team
Our Talent Acquisition team plays a crucial role in ensuring Sinai Health remains at the cutting edge of patient care by providing essential services such as recruitment and hiring selection, job fairs/hiring events, sourcing and outreach, employer branding, and talent pipeline development. We focus on recruiting for both Mount Sinai and Hennick Bridgepoint Hospitals while partnering with other HR teams within the People and Culture portfolio department. In our recruitment endeavors, we prioritize creativity and innovation to optimize processes and technologies. p>
In this role you will:
- Identify and source top talent for open positions and maintain a pipeline for future opportunities
- Collaborate with hiring managers to refine job profiles and ensure job requirements are clearly defined
- Manage the full recruitment process life-cycle including posting, candidate screening and assessment, interviewing, credentialing, reference checking, offer negotiation
- Partner with clients and key stakeholders (e.g. Occupational Health Wellness & Safety) to ensure a smooth candidate onboarding experience
- Identify process improvement opportunities within own recruitment portfolio; li>
- Utilize both standard and creative sourcing strategies, identifying top talent and qualified candidates through social media, job boards, internet sources, networks, and other technical means
- Build and sustain positive relationships with clients and candidates, proactively tracking and managing a network of both active and passive talent
- Build relationships with external stakeholders (e.g. peer institutions), universities and colleges to keep pace with emerging market trends; participate in related committees and outreach programs as required
- Improve operational efficiency by identifying and recommending quality improvement opportunities, new policies, practices, etc.
- Create portfolio reports and provide internal clients with ad-hoc data for use in statistical analysis, strategic planning, internal/external surveys, etc.
- In collaboration with the Manager, participate in special projects and assignments related to talent management as required
- Perform other duties consistent with the job classification as assigned
Job Requirements:
Mandatory
- Successful completion of a bachelor’s degree preferably in human resources, industrial relations, business or a related field from an accredited educational institution
- A minimum of three (3) years of recent human resources experience
- Applicants with proven equivalent recent and related training and experience may be considered
Preferred
- Experience in a large, complex unionized environment
- Healthcare experience a definite asset
- Certified Human Resources Professional/Leader designation
Skills and Knowledge
- Demonstrated ability to interpret and apply HR best practices, applicable legislation, policies, procedures and collective agreements
- Well-developed full-cycle recruitment abilities; proven ability to develop a candidate pipeline
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
- Experience using human resource information systems and applicant tracking systems
- Must be discreet and demonstrate sound judgment, analytical ability, diplomacy and tact to deal effectively with all levels in the organization, especially when dealing with sensitive issues
- Exceptional interpersonal, consultative, relationship building and conflict management skills to interact effectively with various stakeholders and problem solve issues
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize competing demands and changing priorities while maintaining high degree of accuracy and customer service
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the proven ability to clearly define and articulate requirements, priorities, impacts, and solutions
- Ability to facilitate small group discussions, develop and deliver training and make presentations
- Demonstrated satisfactory work performance and attendance history
