Vintage Hotels is now hiring a Night Auditor in Niagara-on-the-LakeThe Night Auditor balances daily revenue and cash receipts and reconciles numerous reports on daily business transactions.Duties and ResponsibilitiesPrimary ResponsibilitiesFront desk duties include check in / check out proceduresResponsible for reports & photocopiesPerforming accounting proceduresBalancing all departments in Food and BeverageAnswering phones in a professional mannerWorking with IVY, Maestro & Infogenesis systemsTaking reservations inquiries on an occasional basis and checking availabilityTaking messages and forwarding to the appropriate departmentsDealing with Guests in a professional service oriented mannerResponding to Guest complaintsHaving a thorough knowledge of Lais Hotel Properties’ products and servicesActively seeking ways to meet Guests’ product or service needsSecondary ResponsibilitiesAble to deal with minor disputesPerforming minor maintenance when requiredResponsible for evening Guest requestsAll other duties as assignedHealth and Safety ResponsibilitiesCarries out all duties in accordance with the Ontario Occupational Health and Safety Act. The Act is posted at each Team Member bulletin board and outlines the rights and responsibilities of both Management and Team MembersProactive on personal health and safety by properly using or wearing all protective equipment required for your position, maintaining an ergonomically correct workstation, and using proper lifting techniques (lift with knees)Chair is adjusted so that feet rest comfortably on the floorKeyboard and mouse must be adjusted at elbow levelComputer monitor should be at eye level, directly in front of you and within arms reachReports the absence of or defect in any equipment or protective device, which may endanger yourself or another Team Member as well as reporting all hazards to your Supervisor / ManagerReports to Management and seeks treatment immediately for all accidents and / or injuries, no matter how slight they may seemMust report all back strains, and other common illnesses or injuries that result from the duties of this positionProperly operates any equipment, machine, device or work-related item, or work in a way that will not endanger yourself or other Team Members. Works with equipment at a safe speed with the proper protective equipment being usedEnsures that photocopier, fax machines and printers are stationed and supported and are used in a safe mannerWhen driving for company purposes, abides by all Ministry of Transportation driving rules to provide safety to themselves, clients and others on the roadNot engage in any prank, contest, feat of strength, unnecessary running or rough and boisterous conduct.
