We invite you to join the Kings Landing team The museum, which first opened to the public in 1970, is well-known and admired as a unique destination due to its thought-provoking, educational, and engaging living history programs and exhibits. The site is open from June to October for the main season and year-round for special events. The 300-acre iconic living history museum is home to nearly 90,000 artifacts as well as many significant historical buildings. We are operating an authentic living history museum that attracts, engages, enriches, and educates the people of New Brunswick. p>

What you will do
Reporting to the Director of Finance and Corporate Services, you will run the daily functions of the Human Resource department including coaching, hiring and interviewing staff, managing and administering pay, benefits, and leave, and enforcing company policies and practices. You will facilitate and improve internal communication across Kings Landing to ensure that employees are familiar with the organization's mission, goals, policies, and expectations. p>
- Reviewing, tracking, and documenting compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, continuing education, and work assessments
- Recruiting, interviewing, and facilitating the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions
- Implementing new hire orientation and employee recognition programs
- Performing routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; performance and talent management; and training and development
- Maintaining knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, employment law, employee retention, morale, recognition, productivity, and incentives
- Providing collaborative guidance and advice on integrated communication strategies to build employee morale, productivity, retention, and policy compliance
- Implementing, conducting, facilitating, and/or analyzing results of employee morale and retention initiatives such as incentive programs, stay interviews, career development meetings, employee surveys, and exit interviews
- Performing other related duties as assigned
- Stationed at Kings Landing
- Traveling to other locations when required
- Standard hours of work are Monday to Friday 8:15-4:30 with possibility of evenings and weekends or variable hours when required
Who you are
You are someone who values exceeding work expectations and have knowledge and experience in managing a similar enterprise. strong>
Need to have
- Bachelor's degree in human resources or a related field
- Three (3) years of professional-level experience in human resources
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite
- Valid class 5 driver's license as issued by the Province of New Brunswick
- An equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered
- Written and spoken competence in English is required
Nice to have
- Knowledge of training, group facilitation, and presentation skills
- Experience in employee and labour relations
Wage
$2,402.00 bi-weekly (Pay Band 5)
