Our mission is to ensure Alberta's agriculture community has the talent, knowledge, and thought leadership to lead globally.The Opportunity: Full-time, permanent, Business Partner, People and CultureThe People and Culture Business Partner is a core role within the People and Culture department at Olds College, providing frontline consultative services to ensure progressive people practices and the development of a sustainable workforce capability in support of the College’s strategic direction. The Business Partner works collaboratively to provide expert advisory support on all aspects of human resource management with a strong focus on building relationships with Schools/Departments, understanding their specific needs and assisting with execution of strategy and objectives.Leading special projects on behalf of People and Culture or clients will be important for success. The Business Partner promotes employee engagement initiatives across the College and at the client department level demonstrates strong communication, relationship management and problem-solving skills.Develop strategic HR goals/plans supporting client’s attainment of business strategies and operational goals.Support senior leadership in providing and interpreting HR information required for vital decision making and budget preparation.Lead complex matters such as grievances, terminations, return to work planning and accommodation.Communicate People and Culture policies, programs and procedures to ensure School/Department understanding and commitment.
Talent Acquisition Lead, mentor, and coach the Administrator and Operations and Systems Specialist, People and Culture.Compliance Provide HR advice, services and support which comply with appropriate legislation, governing policies and procedures.Ensure compliance with the College values, code of conduct and FOIP.A diploma or degree in a related field is required.
