About the Job:The Global Business Service Unit (GBSU) Canada is seeking a highly skilled SAS Support and Administration Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will play a critical part in ensuring the smooth operation of our SAS environment and providing exceptional support to our business users.

Key Responsibilities:
  • SAS Administration:
    • Manage and maintain SAS servers and services.
    • Monitor job execution and troubleshoot issues promptly.
    • Provide expert-level support for SAS-related queries and incidents.
    • Implement and manage SAS security policies and user access controls.
    • Perform regular system health checks and updates.
  • Change Management:
    • Collaborate with development teams to deploy code changes.
    • Conduct thorough quality assurance testing for new enhancements.
    • Manage and coordinate change management processes.
  • Job Scheduling:
    • Configure and optimize job schedules using Autosys or Airflow.
    • Monitor job execution and take corrective actions as needed.
  • Infrastructure Support:
    • Perform infrastructure upgrades and patching.
    • Handle user requests and provide timely support.
    • Ensure system stability during maintenance and infrastructure weekends.
  • Problem Solving and Analysis:
    • Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues.
    • Identify root causes of incidents and implement preventive measures.
    • Enhance monitoring and controls to proactively identify potential problems.
  • Collaboration and Communication:
    • Work closely with teams in Bangalore, Paris, Canada, and the USA.
    • Effectively communicate with business users and technical teams.
    • Manage expectations and provide timely updates.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Strong understanding of SAS programming and administration.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages (PowerShell, Batch, Unix).
  • Experience with relational databases.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities.
  • Knowledge of the financial industry.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Fluency in English and French.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with cloud technologies.
  • CI/CD experience.
  • Programming skills (Java, .NET).
  • FRM or ITIL certification.
Languages: French, English.
Required: Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal, to collaborate effectively with US-based colleagues and partners.

Hybrid Role:  While we offer a flexible work arrangement, this role requires a 50% on-site commitment at our Montreal office. Please only apply if you can meet this requirement.

  • Surveiller l'exécution des tâches et résoudre rapidement les problèmes.
  • Fournir un soutien de niveau expert pour les requêtes et incidents liés à SAS.
  • Mettre en œuvre et gérer les politiques de sécurité SAS et les contrôles d'accès des utilisateurs.
  • Effectuer des contrôles et des mises à jour réguliers de l'état du système.
  • Gestion des changements :
  • Collaborer avec les équipes de développement pour déployer les modifications de code.
  • Effectuer des tests d'assurance qualité approfondis pour les nouvelles améliorations.
  • Gérer et coordonner les processus de gestion des changements.
  • Planification des tâches :
  • Configurer et optimiser les planifications de tâches à l'aide d'Autosys ou d'Airflow.
  • Surveiller l'exécution des tâches et prendre des mesures correctives si nécessaire.
  • Support d'infrastructure :
  • Effectuer des mises à niveau et des correctifs d'infrastructure.
  • Gérer les demandes des utilisateurs et fournir une assistance en temps opportun.
  • Assurer la stabilité du système pendant les week-ends de maintenance et d'infrastructure.
  • Résolution de problèmes et analyse :
  • Diagnostiquer et résoudre des problèmes techniques complexes.
  • Identifier les causes profondes des incidents et mettre en œuvre des mesures préventives.
  • Améliorer la surveillance et les contrôles pour identifier de manière proactive les problèmes potentiels.
  • Collaboration et communication :
  • Travailler en étroite collaboration avec des équipes à Bangalore, Paris, au Canada et aux États-Unis.
  • Communiquer efficacement avec les utilisateurs professionnels et les équipes techniques.
  • Gérer les attentes et fournir des mises à jour en temps opportun.

Compétences et qualifications requises :
  • Bonne compréhension de la programmation et de l'administration SAS.
  • Maîtrise des langages de script (PowerShell, Batch, Unix).
  • Expérience avec les bases de données relationnelles.
  • Capacité à hiérarchiser les tâches et à gérer plusieurs responsabilités.
  • Connaissance du secteur financier.
  • Excellentes compétences en résolution de problèmes et en analyse.
  • Fortes compétences en communication et en relations interpersonnelles.
  • Maîtrise de l'anglais et du français.

Qualifications préférées :
  • Expérience avec les technologies cloud.
  • Expérience CI/CD.
  • Compétences en programmation (Java, .NET).
  • Certification FRM ou ITIL.
  • Langues : français, anglais.
  • Exigences : Excellentes compétences en communication en anglais, tant à l'écrit qu'à l'oral, pour collaborer efficacement avec des collègues et partenaires basés aux États-Unis.
