About Sales Director Role

We are looking for an experienced and dynamic Sales Director to join our team. In this role, you will work closely with our company principal to identify and capitalize on new business opportunities. You will develop and execute comprehensive sales strategies, complete proposals, and support negotiations to drive deals to closure. Your B2B skills and experience will be important for contributing to our existing business development programs and creating new initiatives that align with our goals.

Position requirements:

  • Exceed annual sales targets.
  • Implement and execute strategic plans.
  • Build and maintain good customer relationships.
  • Lead daily business development efforts to grow sales volume and close new business deals.
  • Develop and execute effective sales strategies to drive revenue growth.
  • Convert marketing leads into paying clients by leveraging your B2B sales expertise.
  • Prepare compelling proposals and sales agreements with support from the engineering team.
  • Support negotiations to ensure mutually beneficial agreements and drive deals to close.
  • Own and manage the sales pipeline and CRM (HubSpot).
  • Ensure long-term client satisfaction and develop repeat business opportunities.
  • Act as an account manager for key accounts as assigned.
  • Continuously improve the sales process and tactics to enhance performance.
  • Attend trade shows and support other marketing programs as required.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to generate new ideas and business development strategies.

What we're looking for:

  • Degree in Business or Commerce or equivalent experience.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated success in large account/complex sales.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in a B2B sales environment.
  • Knowledge of inbound sales and services.
  • Familiarity with social media.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Motivated and ambitious sales professional eager to prove yourself.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Proven business development and market assessment experience within engineering companies.
  • Familiarity with using HubSpot CRM.
