Looking for onsite Calgary candidates 3 to 4 days onsite.

6 month contract with extensions up to 3 years.

Job Overview:

The SAP Master Data Governance Specialist is responsible for implementing and managing SAP MDG processes and solutions. This role involves collaborating with clients to understand their data governance needs, designing and deploying SAP MDG frameworks, and ensuring the integrity and quality of master data across the organization. This consultant will be on the SAP MOC team.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Lead the implementation of SAP Master Data Governance frameworks and solutions for clients.
  2. Assess and analyze current data management practices and identify areas for improvement within the SAP environment.
  3. Develop and execute strategies for data quality, data integrity, and data lifecycle management using SAP MDG.
  4. Collaborate with stakeholders to define data governance policies, standards, and procedures specific to SAP.
  5. Configure and customize SAP MDG tools and platforms to meet client requirements.
  6. Conduct workshops and training sessions to educate clients on best practices in SAP data governance.
  7. Monitor and report on the effectiveness of data governance initiatives and recommend enhancements.
  8. Provide ongoing support and maintenance for implemented SAP MDG solutions.
  9. Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in SAP data governance and management of change (MOC).

Must-Have Qualifications:

  1. Implementing and managing SAP MDG frameworks and solutions.
  2. SAP data quality principles and data lifecycle management.
  3. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with clients and stakeholders.
  4. Ability to conduct training sessions and workshops focused on SAP MDG.

Nice-to-Have Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Data Management, Computer Science, or a related field. Master’s degree in a related field.
  2. Certification in SAP MDG or related areas.
  3. Experience with change management and business process improvement in SAP environments.
  4. Knowledge of industry standards and best practices in data governance within SAP.
  5. Experience in managing data governance in specific industries (e.g., finance, healthcare).
