Ever quick to think on their feet, they are equally skilled at growing existing accounts while securing new business by presenting Colourific’s quality deliverables.Reports to:Vice President, SalesCultural Responsibilities:Treating all team members with respect and be an active contributor to building Colourific’s cultureSupporting Colourific’s “One Team” mantraMaintain open dialogue to improve health, safety, and operational standards within the facilityNew Business Development Responsibilities:Development and implementation of an effective sales strategy to drive salesProspect for new clients.Cold call as appropriate within your market or geographic area to ensure a robust pipeline of opportunities.Meet potential clients by leveraging your network connections.Able to identify potential clients, and the key decision makers from within those organizations.Plan approaches and pitches.Develop proposals that speak to the client’s needs, concerns, and objectives.Provide clear and accurate requirements including schematics for Estimating team to properly quote from.Present quotes to customers in a thoughtful and logical manner with a focus on successfully closing the order.Handle objections by clarifying, emphasizing agreements, and working through differences to a positive conclusion.Present an image that mirrors that of the client.Ensure that data is accurately entered and deals properly managed within the company’s CRM. Track and record activity on both customer & prospect engagement; provide individual sales report for weekly sales meeting.Complete monthly SCOTA Report outlining Successes, Challenges, Opportunities, Threats and Action Plan.Work with technical staff and other internal colleagues to meet customer needs.Arrange and participate in internal and external client briefs.Education:Bachelor’s degree or relevant post-secondary education.Qualifications:A minimum of 5 years related B2B sales experience in a manufacturing company; Candidates with strong existing relationships within the metal coating, metal product, and/or metal extruding industries will be prioritized.Excellent written and oral communication skills in English is essential.Industry specific knowledge in coated metals including but not limited to architectural (windows, door, wall panels, etc), retail fixturing, fencing, etc.Proven ability to build strong relationships with internal customers, external customers, distributors, and other stakeholders.Excellent organizational skills: ability to work under pressure, prioritize and manage time efficiently.Familiarity with CRM systems and disciplined to maintain up to date activities.High Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word/Excel/PowerPoint/Outlook)Strong ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate data with attention to detail and accuracy.Key competenciesCritical thinking and problem-solving competenciesExcellent written and verbal communication skillsInfluencing and leading; highly engaging personalityStrong interpersonal skills including communication and negotiation.Valid driver’s licenseTeam player but adept self-thinker
