Overview:
The purpose of IT Infrastructure & Operations teams is to support and monitor all operations for cloud, network, server, storage, printers, data centres, databases, and phones to ensure a good state of repair across the Enterprise. IT I&O ensures all systems are performing at optimal levels and assigned services meet business expectations, troubleshooting incidents as required. The IT I&O teams also work with various BTS application & project teams, the Company’s sites, and external vendors to provide infrastructure support as required. The Company is seeking an Infrastructure Analyst with solid knowledge and experience working in IT Infrastructure & Operations, preferably with experience with Windows servers, VMWare, Exchange, Office 365, and Azure technologies. The successful candidate must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and have solid and proven experience supporting IT infrastructure within a large and complex organization and assessing and recommending support solutions.

What you will be doing:
Reporting to the IT Operations Manager in the BTS Applications & Operations department, and working closely with technical team members, project team members, business stakeholders, and service providers, the successful candidate will:

  • Perform implementation, monitoring, and maintenance of on- and off-premises data centre infrastructure, including servers, storage, virtualization, cloud-based services, remote systems hosting, infrastructure process automation, data backup and archival systems and processes, systems management software, and related products.
  • Provide technical support and maximize operational efficiency for data center infrastructure.
  • Provide resolution support for all escalated data centre infrastructure related operational issues and service requests.
  • Participate in data centre infrastructure projects.
  • Monitor and maintain data centre infrastructure performance and capacity.
  • Coordinate Change Management for the infrastructure and supporting applications.
  • Provide expertise and assistance to BTS staff concerning data centre infrastructure requirements.

What you must have:
This position is technically complex and requires a senior Infrastructure Analyst with significant experience in an information systems environment involving the data center infrastructure design and analysis, troubleshooting, and complex project implementation at a senior level in a large enterprise.

  • A diploma in Computer Science or related discipline from a recognized institute of technology, specializing in data centre infrastructure, or a Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science or related discipline.
  • 4+ years previous experience in an information systems environment involving the data center infrastructure design and analysis, troubleshooting, and complex project implementation at a senior level in a large enterprise.
  • Extensive and proven experience managing stakeholders utilizing strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbally and in writing.
  • ITIL Certification is preferred.
  • Experience gathering and analyzing functional and technical requirements and information from key technical and business areas.
  • Experience writing and documenting operational processes and best practices.
  • Knowledge of the Company business and processes is preferred.
