Responsibilities:
  1. Provide project engineering support, including leading and coordinating multi-disciplinary teams
  2. Establish the project process design bases and ensure compliance with contractor designs
  3. Review contractor design documents for consistency with current operating practices
  4. Participate in design reviews such as model reviews, HAZOPs, SILs, etc.
  5. Support operations team for updates of operating procedures and equipment isolation plans

Requirements:
  • Engineering Degree in Chemical Engineering or Mineral Processing with P.Eng designation
  • 5+ years of direct Oil Sands experience preferred
  • Experience as a Process Engineer in extraction and tailings processes
  • Experience with PI and the SRC Slurry model would be an asset
  • Ore and slurry handling experience would be an asset
  • Effective communication with operations and maintenance teams
