Position SummaryThe Human Resources Administrator is a key contributor to the Human Resources program in Canada. The role focuses on providing administrative support for a variety of HR programs as well as answering routine inquiries from employees across Canada.
Essential Functions- Track relevant human resources metrics and generate ad hoc reports.
- Disseminate bi-weekly toolbox talks and track responses.
- Collaborate on the maintenance of vendor accreditation platforms.
- Ensure each location has adequate personal protective equipment on hand.
- Enroll employees in training and professional development courses.
- Deliver new hire onboarding and collect paperwork.
- Assist with recruitment as needed.
- Set up new hires in HRIS and maintain all employee digital data.
- Answer routine employee questions.
- Report injuries to relevant provincial workers compensation boards.
- Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual workers compensation reports.
- Update visual boards as necessary.
- Collect and review safety inspection responses and highlight any potential concerns.
- Collect and track annual performance reviews.
- Maintain organization charts.
- Collect and track policy acknowledgements as needed.
- Collect and track work vehicle inspection sheets.
- Collect and track workplace inspection sheets.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
- Able to communicate effectively and provide excellent internal customer service.
- Able to work both independently and collaborate with others.
- Proficient with MS Office products including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Understanding of Human Resources best practices and employment standards.
- Preference will be given to candidates who are fully bilingual (English/French).
Education, Training, Experience:
- 1-2 years of Human Resources experience.
- Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- CHRP designation.
