Summary/Objective:

DebuskServices Canada is seeking candidates for the position of “Outside Sales Representative” for the Edmonton, Alberta Branch. The Outside Sales Representative will have the knowledge and skills required to market and sell to refineries and petrochemical clients. The “Outside Sales Representative” is required to be a technically oriented, organized, highly motivated individual with strong communication skills. The “Outside Sales Representative” will be responsible for maintaining & developing an existing client base and developing new opportunities. The “Outside Sales Representative” ability to develop relationships with key decision makers and end users as well as make sales & technical presentations are essential ingredients for success.

Responsibilities:

  1. Generate new business and ensure growth of existing accounts. Assess potential application of company products or services and offers solutions that meet customer needs.
  2. Identify and establish relationships with key existing customers supporting current business activity as well as creating new sales opportunities.
  3. Consistently prospecting to identify new contacts/opportunities, qualify and drive leads through the sales pipeline. Telemarketing, cold calling, appointment setting and proactive engagement of sales region.
  4. Visit customers on behalf of DeBusk Services Canada in the assigned territory for the specific purpose of driving incremental growth.
  5. Make joint sales calls with management, specialty services SMEs, and branch management.
  6. Engage in technical discussions with customers, perform product demonstrations and presentations that differentiate key selling advantages to meet customers’ needs to support and build sales.
  7. Research and develop efficient methods to present solutions showing potential customers the cost benefit of working with DeBusk Services Canada.
  8. Work closely with inside staff, management and SME’s learning the details of DeBusk Services Canada service lines, systems, processes, and tools.
  9. Inform management of all activity via pipeline management, including opportunities and presentations to clients, communicating customer feedback on future developments, quotes, and booked sales.
  10. Maintain a home office to allow for regular two-way communication. (High speed internet and cell phone coverage at your residence is required).
  11. Remain knowledgeable and up to date on changes and developments in the industry.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 3-5 years outside sales experience preferred with a proven measurable track record.
  • Experience growing a territory based on a salary plus commission compensation model
  • Industry knowledge specifics concerning, SAGD Facilities, Oil Sands Mines and upgraders, Petro Chemical Refiners, and fertilizer Facilities is preferred.
  • Calling on pipeline and terminals, metals/mining/minerals, pulp and paper, is an asset but not required.
  • A valid driver's license with an excellent driving record.
  • Able to travel from your home base for sales meetings and customer visits.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication, problem-solving and presentation skills are a must.
  • Excellent verbal and written skills.
  • Able to travel for multiple days for training and sales initiatives.
  • Technical sales experience preferred.
  • Mechanical and technical aptitude
  • An innate ability to see customers, visit accounts for maximum reach and influence, solve problems with matching USA DeBusk’s offerings.
  • You have a deep belief if the customer is not doing business with you, they're not getting the best customer service.

Physical Requirements:

  • Required to sit, talk, hear, operate a telephone and computer.
  • Ability to lift to 15 pounds.
