TalentWorld is recruiting a Accounts Receivable Specialist in Calgary, Alberta for one of our clients.

Responsibilities

  • Generate and send invoices to customers as needed.
  • Record and process payments via EFTs, e-transfers, cheques, and credit cards.
  • Coordinate journal entries and bank transfers for multi-company payments.
  • Send bi-weekly statements and upload invoices to customer portals.
  • Monitor and manage emails in the AR inbox.
  • Pursue overdue accounts, focusing on invoices 31 days past due or more.
  • Meet collection targets set by management.
  • Enhance customer satisfaction with a positive approach.
  • Respond promptly and courteously to customer inquiries and requests.
  • Ensure accurate data entry and systematic document management.
  • Adapt and prioritize tasks efficiently.
  • Assist with additional tasks assigned by management.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field preferred.
  • Professional designation (e.g., CPA) an asset.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in accounts receivable, billing, or collections.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks Online.
  • Familiarity with Transportation Management Systems (e.g., Rose Rocket) a plus.
  • Strong data entry skills with high accuracy.
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
  • Effective communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced team environment.

Employment Details

  • Salary: $20.00HR - $30.00HR
  • Benefits: 40 hours weekly, Contract, Full-Time, Onsite
  • Schedule: 8:00AM to 4:30PM, Monday to Friday
  • Other: 6 months contract, possibility of extension, contract to permanent, career growth
