Reporting to the Director of Service Delivery, the Server Technician is a member of Intega’s Service Delivery team, predominantly responsible for the support and maintenance of Microsoft Windows server infrastructure and Sharepoint across our customer environments. Although predominantly involved in server support this position may at times need to assist with network troubleshooting as well.

You are an excellent communicator, have at least 5 years of experience and are ready to help an energetic and growing team maximize their effectiveness through a balance of customer service, technical proficiency, and ITIL process.


Responsibilities
  • Responsible for end-user support, you will partner with our Clients to resolve their IT issues.
  • Answering tickets with both speed and tact, you are empathetic and articulate when working with Clients. Especially in stressful situations, you ask the right questions and provide relevant and realistic solutions.
  • Balancing quality with speed, you provide professional verbal and written responses to Clients and update ticket statuses to ensure all team members know things are taken care of.
  • Receiving and solving escalations from Level 1 help desk technicians for complex issues.
  • Working with the Team Leads and Level One team on training opportunities.
  • With security knowledge, you diligently protect Client information and adhere to processes and procedures that do the same.
  • A strong technical resource, you have a proven history of intermediate to advanced technical knowledge including the ability to troubleshoot server-based software issues with:
    • Microsoft Windows Server
    • Microsoft SharePoint
    • Microsoft Azure and Azure Active Directory
    • Microsoft SQL Server (basic understanding)
    • Microsoft Hyper-V and VMWare
    • Major AV/Security packages
  • You bring knowledge and understanding of various server/workstation peripherals and an eagerness to help others with areas of your expertise.
  • A key part of the team, you utilize your working knowledge of workstation/server hardware and software troubleshooting abilities, DNS, the internet, and mail flow and more.
Requirements
  • University Degree.
  • Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle.
  • 5 years of direct involvement with server troubleshooting.
  • Experience with troubleshooting Windows Server Environments (On premise and cloud), SharePoint, and Hyper-V / VMWare.
  • Experience of systems architecture, engineering, and administration processes.
  • Experience working in, maintaining, and supporting Microsoft 365 solutions.

  • Experience in using service tools such as Autotask PSA, RMM, Trend/Monitoring/Reporting tools and Business Continuity solutions.
  • Implementing server and/or network solutions.
  • SharePoint Design/Implementation/Maintenance.
